At Udgam Foundation, we believe true empowerment begins by equipping women with meaningful skills and opportunities that foster independence and uplift communities. In line with this vision, we successfully conducted the fourth edition of our incense stick-making workshop on May 24, 2025, under our flagship initiative “Udgam Uttaran.”
This one-day training session was designed to provide hands-on experience and entrepreneurial guidance to local women.
The workshop saw active participation from more than 45 women, including both young learners and elder members of the community. Led by an experienced trainer, the session covered the entire incense stick-making process, including:
Alongside the technical training, the participants gained the confidence and motivation to pursue micro-entrepreneurship and self-employment.
At the conclusion of the session, all the participants were awarded certificates of participation as a small gesture to acknowledge their enthusiasm, dedication and eagerness to learn. Our team encouraged the women to apply their new skills within their communities, thereby contributing to economic and social development.
We extend our sincere thanks to our expert trainer, the spirited participants and the local community whose support made this workshop a success. This initiative is a testament to the strength of collaborative efforts and the impact of shared purpose.
At Udgam Foundation, we are committed to creating avenues for financial independence and social empowerment, especially for women and youths across Assam. Workshops like these are not just training sessions; they are powerful steps toward building confident, self-sustaining communities.
We welcome women and youth from all backgrounds to join us, whether as participants, volunteers or supporters, and take the first step towards a more empowered future.
Let’s work together to build a brighter, more inclusive Assam.
Join the movement. Be the change!
