At Udgam Foundation, we believe that empowering women through skill development is a crucial step toward self-reliance and community upliftment. In our continued efforts to create meaningful opportunities, we successfully organized a one-day incense stick-making training workshop on 20th March 2025 to provide hands-on training and business insights to local women.
Over 30 women participants from various age groups took part in the workshop, eager to learn and explore new opportunities. The session was led by an expert in incense stick production. Participants received comprehensive hands-on training covering essential aspects such as:
– Mixing ingredients in the correct ratio
– Preparing the dough for incense sticks
– Rolling and drying the sticks
– Effective packaging techniques
– Basic marketing strategies to promote their products
The workshop concluded on a celebratory note, with participants receiving certificates of participation. We encouraged the women participants to utilize their newly acquired skills and explore entrepreneurial opportunities.
