To mark the 78th Independence Day, on 14th August, Udgam Foundation hosted an engaging Essay and Art Competition at Kamrup Academy Higher Secondary School, focusing on fostering creativity and critical thinking among students. The event saw enthusiastic participation from 102 students, reflecting our commitment to nurturing young talents.
Students were divided into two groups:
Essay participants submitted their pieces to the authorities, while art participants worked for an hour and a half before submitting their creations. We provided refreshments to ensure students remained energized throughout the event.
Group ‘A’: “প্রকৃতি সুৰক্ষা” (Nature Conservation), “ভাৰতৰ মুক্তি যুঁজাৰুৰ প্ৰতিকৃতি” (Depictions of India’s Freedom Fighters)
Group ‘B’: “স্বচ্ছ ভাৰত, সেউজ ভাৰত” (Clean India, Green India), “তোমাৰ সপোনৰ ভাৰত” (India of Your Dreams)
Group ‘A’: “স্বাধীনতা দিৱস উদযাপনৰ প্ৰাসংগিকতা” (The Relevance of Celebrating Independence Day) [400 words]
Group ‘B’: “স্বাধীন ভাৰতক প্ৰগতিৰ দিশে আগুৱাই নিবলৈ যুৱ প্ৰজন্মৰ দৃষ্টি কোণ” (Youth’s Perspective on Leading Independent India Towards Progress) [500 words]
On 16th August, we concluded the event with a prize distribution ceremony, recognizing the winners and encouraging all participants to strive for excellence. The entire school fraternity attended, celebrating the students’ efforts.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Rishi Baruah Sir, Director of Sadin Pratidin Group, for his invaluable support. We also thank Kamrup Academy Higher Secondary School and the esteemed judges who contributed to the event’s success.
