Crafting Confidence Through Skill & Confidence
At Udgam Foundation, we believe that empowerment starts with opportunity — the opportunity to learn, to create and to stand on one’s own feet. Staying true to this belief, we successfully hosted our 7th incense stick-making workshop under the Udgam Uttaran initiative on 25 October 2025.
This one-day training was designed not just as a skill-building session, but as a platform for women to rediscover their potential. From homemakers to young learners, participants came together to learn, connect, and take one step closer to self-reliance.
The workshop saw the enthusiastic participation of more than 50 women from diverse backgrounds, each bringing her own story, spirit and spark. Under the guidance of an expert trainer, they immersed themselves in a hands-on learning journey that covered:
But beyond the skills, the workshop became a space for confidence and creativity to bloom. For many, it was their first time creating something that could also earn them an income — a small beginning with the promise of big change.
As the day came to an end, every participant received a certificate of participation, a simple yet powerful token of achievement. The smiles spoke volumes — of pride, hope and newfound purpose.
The Udgam team encouraged each woman to put her learning into action to transform her skill into a source of livelihood and her confidence into a tool for community change.
