Udgam Uttaran
At Udgam Foundation, we are committed to empowering women by equipping them with practical skills and creating opportunities for financial independence. Under the initiative “Udgam Uttaran – Wings of Empowerment,” we recently organized a two-day candle-making workshop on the11th and 12th of March, 2025. This training program was another milestone in our journey toward building economic self-sufficiency and fostering confidence among women.
The workshop witnessed the participation of over 30 women, all united by their eagerness to learn and grow. An experienced candle-making expert, led the training sessions, offering step-by-step guidance on the intricate process of candle production. Participants gained hands-on experience in:
* Crafting simple, plain candles
* Designing colorful and aromatic candles
* Understanding the proper wax blending techniques
* Using molds and selecting appropriate materials
* Developing packaging skills for product presentation
In addition to technical skills, the women also received practical knowledge on business management and marketing strategies. These valuable lessons equipped them with the confidence to promote and sell their products, encouraging entrepreneurship within their communities.
The Udgam Uttaran initiative stands as a beacon of empowerment, offering women opportunities to enhance their skills, achieve financial independence, and contribute meaningfully to society. Each workshop is a step closer to realizing our vision of a self-reliant community where women lead with confidence and resilience.
